Use of the flash in a camera can be perplexing to novice photographers. Many are not aware of the limits to the area its light can reach. This means that up to a certain distance the flash will be useful; beyond that, having the flash on won’t do any good.
Parents taking shots of their children 50 feet from the stage in a dark school auditorium are a case in point. They find out later that they’ve gotten pictures of the heads of the audience in front, with the kids hardly visible in the background.

Before buying any GE camera, you should look at the GE digital camera reviews. The reviews look impressive when the cameras first comes out, but after they are bought and used is when you will have a better idea about how the camera compares to other cameras and what the camera can do. The cheapest camera you will find from GE is the A730 for under one hundred dollars. This camera does not have a favorable review from users who thought the 7 megapixel, three times optical zoom would be a great camera for the price. The picture image is not always clear.

Being familiar with the terminology used in any subject of interest in is always useful, and digital cameras are no exception. Although most digital cameras available on the market allow you to simply point your camera and quickly snap a picture with the touch of a button, there is often a lot more going on behind the scenes than you may have realized.

You want to buy a new digital camera but you wonder what all these abbreviations and strange terms are and what do they mean? Here are a few.
AE Lock. This means Auto Exposure Lock and means that you can point to your subject matter, get a light reading, then swing the camera to set up the complete picture, still retaining that setting.

When you are thinking, which digital camera is right for me, you will want to consider a few things to determine what will work for you the best. First, consider how much you are willing to spend on a digital camera. Next, decide if you want a camera that lets you control how the picture turns out or one that just takes the picture. Then you should decide how much zoom you would need to have with the camera. Then decide if you want a camera that will fit in your pocket or if you will carry a camera case.

As digital cameras have developed and evolved over the past several years, one feature that has become almost universal is video capture. The ability to record simple movies is now available on virtually every new digital camera, but specific capabilities will vary greatly from one model to the next.
If you want to create movies with your camera, one important feature to consider is quality of video information recorded. This is made up of resolution and frames-per-second. It is important to note that the video resolution of a digital camera will usually be much lower than its image quality for normal photographs.
